This was the KORFBAL LEAGUE 2 #5

TOP/IAA fresh - DSC: 23-19

TOP/IAA fresh booked an important victory over DSC in a match that coach Ruben Boode described as a "four-point match". In an attractive duel, TOP started strongly and took a 5-1 lead. DSC fought back and even took a short lead, but after the break TOP recovered nicely. Thanks in part to strong substitutions and mental resilience, TOP extended its lead to 23-19, which increased the gap with DSC in the rankings. DSC coach Timo de Wit saw areas for improvement, but emphasized the quality and potential of his team for the rest of the season.

GG - East Arnhem: 24-13

GG delivered a convincing performance against Oost-Arnhem and recovered after a slow start. After fifteen minutes it was still 4-4, but thanks to an excellent series of Romy (7 goals) GG extended the lead to 13-7 at half time. In the second half the home team calmly continued to build on the lead and convincingly finished with 24-13. The ladies of GG played a decisive role and the team climbed to fifth place on the ranking. However, the upcoming away match in Eindhoven will be a serious challenge.

Dalto/Klaverblad Insurance - TOP Arnemuiden: 21-17

Dalto remained undefeated after a difficult but ultimately successful away match against TOP Arnemuiden. Although Dalto had to leave the initiative to TOP in the opening phase (2-0), the team quickly recovered and went into halftime with a 5-7 lead. In the second half, Dalto managed to make the difference, partly thanks to strong performances by Mathijs (6 goals) and Lotte (5 goals). TOP still offered some resistance, but the final score of 17-21 sealed a solid victory for the leader.

Fix - AWDTV: 27-19

Fiks impressed by sending AWDTV back to Amsterdam with a big win. Despite personnel problems due to injuries and work commitments, the team from Oegstgeest immediately took the initiative and built up a comfortable lead in the first half. Substitute Sascha de Haan (5 goals) and the returning Ilze Hazekamp played a key role in the victory. With this victory, Fiks firmly settled in fourth place and recovered from last week's defeat.
