Promotion/Relegation
The play-offs in the Kenonz Korfbal League form the climax of the regular season, with the four best teams competing for a place in the final. The play-offs consist of a best-of-three series between the numbers 1 to 4 of the competition. The winners of these semi-finals qualify for the Korfbal League Final, which is traditionally held in Ahoy.
Starting in the 2024-2025 season, the format of the final phase of the Korfbal League 2 will be adjusted. The most important change is that the winner of the Korfbal League 2 will be promoted directly to the Kenonz Korfbal League. In addition, there will be a game for a possible second promotion spot.
After the last round on Saturday 22 March, the play-offs start on Tuesday 25 March with the semi-finals. In these, the number 2 of the Korfbal League 2 plays against the number 3, while the number 9 of the Kenonz Korfbal League takes on the number 4 of the Korfbal League 2. These semi-finals consist of a maximum of three rounds, with the first being played on Saturday 29 March and a possible third on Tuesday 1 April. The final, between the winners of the semi-finals, determines who will be the second promoted team to the Kenonz Korfbal League.
