With the European Korfball Championships on the horizon, which will be held from October 28 to November 2 in Calonge i Sant Antoni (Girona, Catalonia), national coach Ard Korporaal has presented his final selection.
Since the start of the preparation on May 1, a group of nine women and nine men trained with the team, but for the European Championship this group has been reduced to seven of each. These players will represent the Netherlands with the aim of defending the European title.

This means that Zita Schröder, Annelie de Korte, Carlo de Vries and Bo Oppe will not participate in the European Championship. For Boadi, Hintzbergen, Frieswijk and Van Roekel this marks their debut at a major international tournament for TeamNL Korfbal.
