This statement is about korfbalinc.nl. The shop korfbalinc.shop has its own cookie notice and its own explanation: see "The shop" below.

In short

  • In the Netherlands, as long as you have not chosen anything yet, we count visits with a simple counting cookie of our own. It stays for 12 months and is only used for counting. If you choose Reject, we delete it and count without a cookie.
  • Not from the Netherlands? Then we only count you once you click "Accept".
  • Want to help us with more precise figures and tests? Then click "Accept". We then set cookies for statistics: one cookie that stays for 6 months, and temporary storage until you close the tab.
  • If you click "Reject", everything simply works.
  • Don't want to be counted at all in the Netherlands? Then turn off "Counting in the Netherlands" in "Cookie settings". Then we don't count you at all.
  • On the platform: no advertising cookies, no Facebook pixel and no Google Analytics.
  • The shop works differently: it has its own cookie notice, and there Meta and Google use cookies for advertising, if you agree. See "The shop" below.
  • You can always change your choice via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

A cookie is a small file that a website places on your phone or computer. There are also other ways to store something on your device, such as "local storage" and "session storage" in your browser. The rules are the same for all of these. That is why we call them all "cookies" here.

There are three kinds:

  • necessary: without this cookie, something you ask for yourself does not work, such as staying logged in. We do not ask for consent for these;
  • statistics with little impact on your privacy: we do not ask for consent for these either, but we do explain them, and you can turn them off;
  • all other cookies: only if you say "yes".

The platform: korfbalinc.nl

All these cookies belong to KORFBALINC itself. They only go to our own site, and other sites cannot do anything with them.

WhatWhat forHow long
Login cookie kb_sessieKeeps you logged in. Only if you have an account and log in with the 6-digit code. It contains a long random key; we only hold an encrypted fingerprint of it, not the key itself90 days. Every time you visit, those 90 days start again. Logging out deletes it
Login attempt kb_inlogRemembers, between "request code" and "enter code", which request your code belongs to10 minutes, and gone as soon as you are logged in
Sign-up kb_aanmeldenRemembers what you entered at "Create account" if something was wrong, so you don't have to type it again10 minutes
Cookie choice kb_toestemmingRemembers whether you chose "Accept" or "Reject", or which switches you turned on in "Cookie settings", and whether you turned off "Counting in the Netherlands", so we don't keep asking. It contains nothing about who you are6 months
Voting code kb_stemcodeA random code, so you cannot vote more than once in the same poll, or tap the winner of a match more than once. We only set it at the moment you vote or tap, not when you open the page. Says nothing about who you are, and is never linked to your account12 months after the last time you voted or tapped; after that your browser deletes it automatically. You can also delete it yourself
My club kb-mijn-club (local storage)Remembers the clubs you follow, at most three (only the name of each club in the address), your own teams, at most three (only the number of each team), the competitions you follow (Korfbal League, Korfbal League 2, Topklasse women, International) and the day your choice expires. With that choice your browser requests the data of those clubs, teams and competitions from our server, for My club, the My club block, the transfers and the results and fixtures; we store none of it there365 days; if you use the choice, that period starts again. Delete: "Unfollow" on the club page, under an article or at My club, the cross at "Adjust clubs, teams and competitions", "Forget" at the results and fixtures, or delete the site's data in your browser
Access code kb_toegangOnly while the site is behind an access code, such as before the launch. Remembers that you entered the correct code. It contains an encrypted fingerprint, never the code itself30 days
Admin payload-tokenOnly for the editorial team: staying logged in to the admin. Readers never get this14 days after logging in. If you are working in the admin in the last two minutes of that, or click "Stay logged in" then, the 14 days start again. Logging out deletes it
Admin: colour mode payload-themeOnly for the editorial team: remembers whether you want the admin "Light" or "Dark", if you choose this yourself in your account (Admin theme)12 months. If you choose "Automatic", it is gone
Admin: language payload-lngOnly for the editorial team: remembers the language of the admin, if you choose it yourself in your account. Only Dutch is available12 months
Admin: clipboard _payloadClipboard (local storage)Only for the editorial team: what you copied in the admin with "Copy row" or "Copy field", including text that is not yet online, so you can paste it elsewhere in the admin with "Paste row" or "Paste field"Until you copy something else or delete your browser data. Logging out does not delete it
Admin: notification payload-pending-success-toast (session storage)Only for the editorial team: the notification that something new has been created, so you still see it after being redirectedA few seconds: gone as soon as the notification appears, otherwise when you close the tab
Admin: forgot password payload-forgot-password:beheerders (session storage)On the admin's "Forgot password?" screen: the email address you entered and when you may send again. The screen is meant for the editorial team, but anyone can open it. Forgot password does not work here: no email is sentUntil you close the tab, or until you reopen the screen after 15 seconds. Logging out does not delete it
Page builder puck-sidebar-widths (local storage)Only for the editorial team: how wide you have dragged the page builder's sidebarsUntil you delete your browser data
Short question kb-feedback (local storage)Only if there is a short question on the site: per question the moment you got it, so you don't keep seeing the same question and don't get a question too often. Also whether you already got the request to fill in the questionnaire, what you chose (Later, No thanks, Take part or sent) and how often it appeared, so it appears at most twice. Does not go to usA question drops out 180 days after you got it; if no questions remain, it is gone
Short question kb-feedback-bezoek (session storage)How many pages you viewed during this visit (the question never appears on the first page), per question a number for the draw of who gets it, when your visit began (the questionnaire appears after 2 minutes or from the third page) and whether the short question or the questionnaire request already appeared during this visit, so you never get both in one visit. Does not go to usUntil you close the tab

Against spam on forms we do not use a service from another company and we place nothing on your device.

Are you from the Netherlands? Then our statistics service PostHog (PostHog EU, servers in Frankfurt) counts your visit without your consent, because it is only counting and has little impact on your privacy (article 11.7a, third paragraph, under b, of the Telecommunicatiewet); more is in the privacy statement (3.2).

  • As long as you have not chosen anything yet, PostHog uses a counting cookie of ours for this:
WhatFrom whomWhat forHow long
Counting cookie ph_kb_telcookie (cookie)KORFBALINC, processed by PostHog (servers in Frankfurt)A random code, so that you count as one visitor across multiple days. Only for counting: no recordings, no heatmaps, no tests, not linked to an account, we do not store your IP address and we share nothing with others12 months. If you choose Reject, Accept or save Cookie settings, we delete it immediately
ph_kb_telcookie and items starting with it (session storage)KORFBALINC, processed by PostHogKeeps track of which tab it is and what belongs to this visit, so that one visit counts as one visitUntil you close the tab
  • If you chose Reject (or saved Cookie settings without Statistics), we count you without anything remaining on your device, with a code from your IP address and browser that changes every day.

Don't want to be counted at all? Then turn off "Counting in the Netherlands" in "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. You are then objecting and we don't count you at all; we remember that choice in the cookie kb_toestemming. Does your browser send a "do not track" signal (Global Privacy Control)? Then you see no cookie notice and we don't count you at all.

If we count you, with or without a cookie, the PostHog script briefly checks on loading whether storage in your browser works. It then sets __mplssupport__ and test in local storage and __support__ in session storage, with a fixed test value, and deletes them again immediately. They contain nothing about you, and nothing remains.

Not from the Netherlands? Then we only count you once you click Accept. Vercel passes on which country you come from to our own server at every visit, as a country code (such as NL or BE). Nothing is stored on your device for this.

With it we see whether you come back, how you click through the site, and which version of a page or of the menu you saw in an A/B test. With consent for Statistics (Accept) we also make heatmaps (where on a page people click and scroll, for all visitors together) and, of about 1 in 10 visits, a recording of what happens on the screen. Everything you type and the text of comments is masked; on the pages for your account, logging in, signing up, submitting and reporting we record nothing. PostHog keeps recordings for 30 days (privacy statement 3.3). We do not use this data for advertising, do not link it to your account and share it with no one.

Videos and posts from other sites

We do not embed videos or posts from other sites, such as YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, in our pages. Those sites therefore cannot set cookies via korfbalinc.nl. If you click a link to such a site, you go to that site itself; what it does is in its own cookie statement.

This is how the notice on korfbalinc.nl works:

  • As long as we measure, you see the notice on your first visit, at the bottom of the screen. On a phone it takes up at most a third of the screen. The page remains readable.
  • There are two buttons side by side, the same size and the same colour: Reject and Accept. Neither stands out more. Next to them is a link More information to this page.
  • There is no cross. Nothing is pre-ticked. Doing nothing does not count as "yes".
  • If you reject, everything simply works. There is no "cookie wall".
  • The notice also works with the keyboard only.
  • We remember your choice for 6 months. After that we ask again. If we change the text of the notice, we also ask again.
  • You can always change your choice via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing is just as easy as giving.
  • We keep every version of the notice and of this statement, with date and version number.

The text of the notice (the same for the Netherlands and Belgium)

May we measure with cookies?
To see where you click, whether you come back and which version of a page works better, sometimes with a screen recording without what you type (via PostHog). You can reject. In the Netherlands we count visits until you choose with a simple counting cookie, after Reject without a cookie; turn off or change via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Younger than 16? Then choose Reject.

[Reject] [Accept] More information

So it states who sets the cookie, what for, what rejecting means, how you withdraw your choice, and how you object to counting in the Netherlands.

Cookie settings (the button at the bottom of every page), with a Save button

PartSettingExplanation
NecessaryAlways onStaying logged in, your cookie choice, preventing double voting.
StatisticsOff until you turn it onCookies from KORFBALINC, processed by PostHog in Frankfurt. Show whether you come back and how you click through the site. The cookie stays for 6 months, the rest until you close the tab.
TestsOff until you turn it onUses the same cookies. If this is off, you always see the normal version of a page and do not take part in A/B tests.
Counting in the NetherlandsOn, can be turned offAs long as you choose nothing, we count you with KORFBALINC's own counting cookie (12 months), so that you count as one visitor across multiple days. Only counting: no recordings, no heatmaps, not linked to an account. If you choose Reject or save here, we delete that cookie and count without a cookie, with a code that changes every day. We do this without your consent, because it has little impact on your privacy. If you turn this off, you are objecting and we don't count you at all.

Younger than 16? Then leave Statistics and Tests off.

Statistics and tests can be chosen separately, because they are two purposes (the Belgian supervisory authority GBA wants consent per purpose). "Accept" in the notice turns both on. They remain the same cookies. An A/B test runs for two to four weeks, and we run at most three at the same time. For A/B tests we always ask for consent, also in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens reads the Dutch exception for statistics narrowly (only counting), and in Belgium consent is needed anyway.

The shop: korfbalinc.shop

The shop runs on Shopify and has its own cookie notice, also with a Reject button. Because the shop is at a different web address, we ask again there: your choice on korfbalinc.nl does not automatically apply in the shop. Which cookies the shop uses, and what Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and Shopify see in the shop if you agree, is in the shop's privacy policy, in chapter 4 "Cookies in the shop". You can change your choice in the shop with the "Cookie settings" button at the bottom of the shop.

One thing from the shop runs via korfbalinc.nl: the "Withdraw from agreement" form (privacy statement, 3.12). If you submit that form, the shop briefly stores what you entered in your browser's session storage (kb-herroeping): what you entered, the time, the reference and whether the confirmation was sent by email, so the confirmation screen can show it. This is necessary, so we do not ask for consent. It does not go to us, and it is gone as soon as the confirmation screen appears, or otherwise when you close the tab.

Deleting cookies yourself

You can also delete cookies yourself in your browser settings. If you delete the cookie with your choice, you will see the notice again. If you delete the login cookie, you are logged out.
